T-Carls at Poco Diablo

Breakfast at Poco Diablo T-Carls Restaurant in Sedona, Arizona.

After a fun, scenic hike to Submarine Rock early on a Saturday morning, we realized we were famished and thought about stopping somewhere for a bite to eat. Poco Diablo Resort has its own restaurant, T-Carls, just a short walk from the trailhead, so we decided to rest our weary feet and enjoy a nice breakfast overlooking their beautifully landscaped patio.

This was not our first time having breakfast at Poco Diablo following our morning excursion. The setting is lush with the early morning sun drenching the grounds—golf course, gardens, fountains, and walkways—with rich green and golden hues.

My partner ordered huevos rancheros and having ordered this before, he knew he would enjoy it. He says Poco "has a different take" on their huevos rancheros:
"It's nicely presented and very tasty, with eggs on top of green chili nestled on top of two crispy corn tortillas and refried beans. It was accompanied by salsa and sour cream, and the salsa had a good bite to it. It was a good sized portion, just the right size, and I didn't leave anything on my plate." He says he would definitely order this again.

My breakfast consisted of classic, all-American road fare but with much better than average flavor and presentation: scrambled eggs, bacon, pan fried potatoes, and toast were topped with grilled sweet peppers.  It was very satisfying and delicious!

T. Carl's Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, has a kid's menu, and accommodates up to 130 guests (think weddings, meeting, events). They even offer a special canine menu on their pet friendly patio.
