An Evening To Remember Presented by Sedona Fire District and Vino di Sedona
Sedona, AZ: The Sedona Fire District (SFD) has had the great honor of being awarded one of the last remaining sections of a steel girder from New York's World Trade Center following the tragedy of September 11, 2001 (9/11). An appropriate and respectful Memorial Plaza is planned around this girder so all will remember those who lost their lives on that fateful day. The generous donations of corporate and private organizations and individuals are needed to ensure completion of this project.
On June 9, 2016, from 4 to 7 pm, a wine tasting event will be held at Vino di Sedona. A popular Sedona restaurant in West Sedona, they are known for their signature selection of fine wine and spirits and described as a "stylish, art-filled wine and beer bar with a menu of modern pub food."
The fundraiser is "8 Tastes of Wine," and includes hors d’oeuvres and fine music. There is also a silent auction with a variety of art, sculptures, gift certificates for restaurants, sporting events, jeep tours and more. No reservations are required.
The Sedona Fire District invites the public to see one of the last remaining artifacts from the World Trade Center. They ask the public to attend, show their support, and be a part of this important project.
To date, the 9/11 committee has raised $46,946, with $37,967 yet to be raised. The Gary Sinise Foundation has made the largest donation to date, for the amount of $5,000.
