Valentine’s Day Jewelry Showcased at Turquoise Tortoise Gallery in Sedona Arizona

On 1st Friday in the Galleries, February 5, from 5 to 8 pm, Turquoise Tortoise Gallery opens “Jewelry for Your True Love.” This new Sedona, Arizona exhibition, which runs through Valentine’s Day, spotlights a wide array of Native American and Southwest jewelry.

Of course, one's true love shouldn’t need to be expressed with anything more than sincere emotion but a gift of jewelry has nevertheless proven to be an enduring favorite. At Turquoise Tortoise Gallery, the helpful staff can talk about any of their many fine jewelry artists and offer information about the stones themselves or methods of silverwork.

Eckhardt and Hoskie Native American jewelryWhether it is the blues to greens of domestic turquoise from one of the highly regarded southwest mines such as Royston, Kingman, Sleeping Beauty and Bisbee, or the multiple hues of orange or purple spiny oyster shell, coral, gaspeite, sugilite or more, the choice seems endless at this forty-three-year-old destination art gallery. The jewelry collection is dominated by the many gifted Navajo jewelers working today while other tribes are also represented, as well as gifted southwest jewelry artists. David and Alice Lister, Vernon Begaye, Kenneth Aguilar, and Bruce Eckhardt are just a few of the artists whose impressive work you’ll find here. Custom pieces are frequently an option as well.
