September, 2015:  So I am making my first visit to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, and am totally impressed by this place.  My peoples have parked their trailer in the National Park Service North Rim Campground, literally on the edge of the Rim.  This place is really cool.

Kendrick Mountain

Kendrick Mountain

Kendrick Mountain is part of the San Francisco Peaks, a volcanic field north of Sedona, Arizona. Three maintained trails managed by the Kaibab National Forest, the Kendrick Mountain Trail, Pumpkin Trail, and Bull Basin Trail, lead hikers to the top of Kendrick Mountain and a fire lookout tower which is open during summer months.

As you may already know, my name is Ernie, and I am a Boston Terrier.  By nature, Boston Terriers are individualistic, curious and energetic. So, it should not be a surprise to anyone that one of my favorite things to do is to explore and sniff around different places in Northern Arizona. Living in Sedona and having Northern Arizona as a playground for a dog is perfect for new adventures, and for meeting new friends. So, what I plan on doing is exploring some of the wonderful and interesting places in the area, and sharing my thoughts and observations.

Route 64 to the Grand Canyon South Rim is an easy, scenic, and fun drive from Sedona. As a bonus, along the 2 1/2 - 3 hour drive, visitors can stop and enjoy some time in beautiful, fun downtown Williams, an historic town located along the old Route 66 made famous by fast cars and movie stars! This rainbow appeared along Route 64 the last day of September.

A Visit to Out Of Africa Wildlife Park, One of the Verde Valley’s Premier Attractions

Recently, Ernie was given the opportunity to tour one of the Verde Valley’s premier attractions near Sedona: Out Of Africa Wildlife Park. Although pets are not allowed due to the fact they can upset and create stress for the wild animals, Ernie was given special permission to do a closely supervised tour because of his media credentials.
