Food lovers come to the Manzanita Restaurant in Cornville, Arizona, featured on Arizona Highways TV, to savor the succulent meat and fish, the homemade soups, the fresh vegetables grown in the restaurant’s garden, the delicate sauces and desserts, all prepared with exquisite care. At the Manzanita Restaurant, it’s healthy cooking the old-fashioned way with made-from-scratch sauces and soups, hand-trimmed meats and fish, and organic produce and herbs straight from the garden. Our chef uses only the finest and freshest ingredients for his epicurean meals—whether it is lamb for his lamb shanks in burgundy wine sauce, veal for his German Wiener Schnitzel with spaetzle and red cabbage, or a medley of vegetables for his vegetarian masterpieces. Low-carbohydrate diners will be especially delighted by the delicious choices and variety, and meat lovers will enjoy the signature prime rib dinners.

Adjoining the Manzanita Restaurant is the vegetable and herb garden. In season, there are mounds of cucumbers, zucchini and Japanese eggplants; bushes of tomatoes; large, prickly pears for salads, stews and garnishes; and a fragrant assortment of herbs from cinnamon basil to sage. The garden produces 1,200 pounds of Jerusalem artichokes every year.
