November 2009
November 2nd: Full Moon in Taurus. November begins with Mars in a stressful aspect to the Full Moon in Taurus. This lunation brings emotional intensity, so it’s best to wait a few days before engaging in any sensitive communications.
November 4th: Neptune turns direct in Aquarius. The planet of dreams and illusions steps forward and is positively partnered with Jupiter between now and late December. It seems that the sky is the limit as we envision the future, yet the concurrent square of Saturn and Pluto is sure to provide reality checks to any excessive gossamer dreams.
November 7th: Venus enters Scorpio. Relationships and resources are more easily magnetized in our lives as feminine Venus journeys through the depths of Scorpio during the next 3 weeks.
November 15th: Saturn squares Pluto. The first of 3 clashes between planetary titans Saturn and Pluto gets underway as the holiday season approaches. Anyone or anything that no longer serves our best interests is likely to be removed or replaced between now and next August.
November 15th: Mercury enters Sagittarius. The planet of communications is buoyed with greater levity in the expansive sign of The Archer as we prepare for the holiday season.
November 16th: New Moon in Scorpio. The New Moon in the depths of Scorpio just one day after the first square between Saturn and Pluto creates an air of mystery and intrigue, representing a conception of sorts for a new collective paradigm to be birthed 9 months from now after Saturn and Pluto make their final square onAugust 21st 2010.
November 21st: Sun enters Sagittarius. The final month of autumn arrives with the Sun’s entry into Sagittarius. Despite the colder weather in the northern hemisphere, the Sun’s annual passage through festive Sagittarius brightens our lives as we share the holidays with others close to our hearts.
October 2009
October 3rd - 4th: Full Moon in Aries. The Harvest Moon arrives later than normal this year and relationships are highlighted as the Moon in the sign of self opposes the Sun in Libra.
October 9th: Mercury enters Libra. The messenger planet transitions from Virgo into Libra and briefly forms a Cardinal T-square with the Moon in Cancer and Pluto in Capricorn. It’s a good day for remembering to exercise discretion and diplomacy in all communications.
October 12 - 13th: Jupiter turns direct in Aquarius. Expansive Jupiter moves forward after a 4 month vacation in retrograde. Jupiter will briefly reunite with Chiron and Neptune in Aquarius during December providing good times just in time for the holidays, and a final taste of this year’s “Camelot Effect” before setting sail for the Port of Pisces.
October 14th: Venus enters Libra. The planet of beauty, sensuality, and love brings her charms to relationship oriented Libra paving the way for pleasant and tender moments in our exchanges with others.
October 16th: Mars enters Leo. Mars takes up residence in Leo for an extended stay through June 6th 2010 because of its long retrograde period from December 20th through March 10th. Mars catalyzes us to take action with our creative instincts and hearts’ desires, although we may feel like taking a long winter’s nap during its retrograde cycle.
October 18th: New Moon in Libra. This year’s New Moon in Libra sets the stage for Saturn’s return to Libra for the first time in 29 years. The seeds sown under this New Moon are more likely to grow slow but steadily under Saturn’s responsible authority during the next 2 years.
October 22nd - 23rd: Sun enters Scorpio. The Sun’s return to power oriented Scorpio is quick to clash with Mars in Leo during the week ahead, so it’s a good time to sit on the sidelines of any conflicts.
October 28th: Mercury enters Scorpio. Mercury in Scorpio brings out our inner forensic expert. What was hidden may be more easily seen or understood as our minds are encouraged to dive deeper into whatever information we are working with during the next few weeks.
October 29th: Saturn enters Libra. Amidst all human dissension and competition, Saturn’s arrival in Libra redirects us towards cultivating constructive relationships both professionally and personally. The realm of human relating is where the real work is to be done between now and the autumn of 2012.
October 30th - 31st: Chiron turns direct in Aquarius. As the month comes to a close, Chiron joins Jupiter in turning direct in Aquarius resuming its own quest of self healing as it heals others.
