Donated Solar System Benefits Sedona International Film Festival
in Sedona Arizona
Sedona, AZ: While the 2010 Sedona International Film Festival will screen new films in full color and classic flicks in black and white, Arizona Solar Power is adding a little green to the weeklong Festival, Feb. 21-28.
To support the Festival’s new Sustainability Film Series and Sustainability Roundtable and the Sedona Institute for Sustainability and Transformative Media, Cottonwood-based Arizona Solar Power is donating a $50,000 grid-tied SunPower Solar Electric PhotoVoltaic system for a raffle. The company will install the system anywhere in Arizona.
All raffle proceeds will benefit the film festival, now in its 16th year.
Only 3,000 raffle tickets will be sold. Tickets are $20 each or six for $100 and can be purchased online at www.sedonafilmfestival.com or at Arizona Solar Power offices in Cottonwood (2825 E. Highway 89A), Flagstaff (2400 E. Route 66), Prescott Valley (853 S. Dunvin Lane, Suite B&C in Dewey) and Scottsdale (14870 N. Northsight Ave, Suite 109).
“Anyone in Arizona can buy a ticket and the winner can keep or donate the system,” said Matthew Bonnstetter, Manager of the company’s corporate location in Cottonwood. The winner will receive a check for $50,000 from Arizona Solar Power to buy the system and take advantage of all federal and state tax incentives. All utility rebates will belong to Arizona Solar Power.
“This is one of the most creative sponsorships in the history of the Festival and will bring much-needed attention to the issue of sustainability and the importance in working together to make our planet a better place to live,” said Sedona Film Festival Executive Director Patrick Schweiss. “We are incredibly grateful for the support of Arizona Solar Power.”
