Sedona, AZ:  Kokopelli Suites announced today it will launch a series of mobile initiatives, specifically catering to on-the-go and spontaneous travelers. The first in the series includes last-minute text deals, which can be received on any mobile phone. Friends of the hotel simply text the word “Sedona” to 99158 or sign up at www.kokopellisuites.com, to receive exclusive offers not found anywhere else – including Kokopelli’s own Web site.
    
“We realize that after a stressful week at work, many travelers could use a weekend getaway, but didn’t necessarily plan for one and don’t want to shell out a lot of money that could prohibit them taking a lengthier, much-needed vacation in the future,” General Manager Vicki Mayo said. “At the same time, we sometimes have rooms that go unoccupied. Because of the ability to communicate with our guests last-minute, we are able to offer them the very lowest prices imaginable, which might make that last-minute weekend getaway more attractive – people love a good deal.”
    
Guests will receive $50 off any room night just for signing up. They can expect to receive no more than three texts per month, and text messages will resemble this: “Two suites left for this weekend - $75/night for the first two guests to respond.”
    
Future mobile initiatives include a Web site update that is mobile-phone formatted, allowing users to browse, book, and check in and out from any mobile phone. A map of the hotel along with a calendar of events happening in Sedona during the guest’s stay sent to their mobile. Additionally, a personalized communication following the guest’s stay with a mobile voucher to encourage a return stay.
    
Kokopelli Suites was built in 1996, and General Manager Vicki Mayo is the original developer’s daughter. A Scottsdale resident, she is determined to bring the hotel into the new millennium – she started with a $2 million renovation of the hotel which was completed this year. Under her management, the hotel was recently awarded the 2009 “Best of Sedona Hotel Management” award.
