Sedona, AZ: Join the community in exploring the Sedona Arts Center’s “Artists in Action” pavilion where patrons can watch local artisans and art instructors creating art.
And be sure to visit the Sedona Heritage Museum’s "Heritage Village" pavilion where artisan’s will be creating, demonstrating, and teaching crafts of Sedona’s first homesteaders.
The Sedona Heritage Museum keeps the history of the Sedona and the Verde Valley alive for residents and visitors alike through its many exhibitions and live history demonstrations, and is a must-see during the Sedona Community Fair.
Camp Soaring Eagle’s Kid’s World has a whole day’s worth of fun activities scheduled for kids in conjunction with the Boys and Girls Club. For those interested in the spiritual realm of Sedona, enjoy the Metaphysical Association’s Metaphysical Fair pavilion where they’ll find psychic readers and intuits of all kinds. Folks can roam inside the Community Pavilion, which will house Sedona non-profits and businesses ready to creatively interact with visitors.
This year’s Fair also includes the first ever “Sedona Winefest” in a large pavilion tent which will feature ten regional set up for folks to purchase wine tasting tickets. Fairgoers will also enjoy the Fair’s food court as well as Barbara’s Park center courtyard with entertainers and fun things do. The city of Sedona Parks and Recreation Department will also be at the fair demonstrating a variety of activities and programs promoted by the department.
You’ll want to arrive early as the Entertainment Pavilion Stage will officially open at 10 a.m., after the National Anthem, flag raising, and parachute jumper making a special flag-carrying leap onto the Fair grounds. Entertainment continues until 3:30 p.m.
The Sedona Car Club will host over 100 cars from around the state competing for prizes and the airport will host an aircraft display of cool aircraft and offer discounted airplane and helicopter rides.
Continuing on Sunday, the Sedona Airport and Jazz on the Rocks (SJOR) are producing “Sedona Music on the Mesa Concert – a Bridge to Jazz on the Rocks” Guests will be able to relax and enjoy a full day of jazz performances on the music stage. A full line up of some of Sedona’s and Northern Arizona’s popular jazz singers and bands will perform from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will be on the airport tarmac and seating will be limited. Attendees are invited to bring their own portable seating.
