Sedona Heritage Museum Improves Kids Korral in Sedona Arizona

New Back Drop At The Sedona Heritage Museum

Sedona, AZ: The Sedona Heritage Museum recently added a large photo backdrop to their Kids Korral so that parents can take pictures of their kids in costume with a great scenic image behind them. The Kids Korral is an interactive learning and play area for toddlers to pre-teens where children can design their own brand, play vintage games, sit astride a saddle, and best of all dress up in the many period costumes and hats from the dress-up trunk.  

The Museum offers other activities to help kids enjoy and have a meaningful museum experience, including a Scavenger Hunt and a Museum Activity Book. The new photo backdrop was made possible by memorial gifts honoring Museum volunteer Charlie Piper.

Located in Jordan Historical Park in Uptown Sedona, the Sedona Heritage Museum is a step back in time when Sedona was a small rural community of orchards, small farms, and ranches along Oak Creek. The museum and 4.75 acre park are housed in the former home of Walter and Ruth Jordan. The museum focus is on the pioneers of the Sedona area, from the earliest settlers in the 1870s through the heyday of western film-making in the 1950s.

The Sedona Historical Society operates the Sedona Heritage Museum on the Jordan Farmstead at 735 Jordan Road in Uptown Sedona.  The Museum is open daily, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and admission is $3.
