Tlaquepaque Entertainment in June:
Oak Creek Brass Consort will perform on Friday, June 5, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m., on the Patio de las Campanas. Family-friendly fun with familiar tunes everyone will enjoy. Performing regionally since 1994, each artist is a member of the Flagstaff Symphony. Co-founded by tubist Bert Harclerode, Chamber Music Sedona executive director, the consort brings together over 150 years of music making.
Arctic Fox Trio will perform in Patio del Norte on Friday, June 12, from 3:30 –
5:30 p.m. Regulars on the Northern Arizona music scene, experience their wide range of musical talent: Ian Amberson (piano), Gabe Wolfe (trumpet), and Zach Downes (bass).
“A Celebration of Native American Music and Dance” will be held on Saturday, June 13. Everyone is invited to savor exceptional world-class traditional dance and song.
The Yellow Bird Apache Dancers, performing for three past U.S. presidents and the Queens of Denmark and Tonga, now in their twenty-second year, have entertained and educated groups from as small as 10 persons to as many as 3000 individuals, throughout the world. Schedule: 10:30 to 11:00 a.m., 12:00 - 12:30 p.m., 1:30 - 2:00 p.m., and 3:00 - 3:30 p.m. in Plaza de la Fuente.
Kevin Duncan, four-time world champion hoop dancer and the current World Champion teen hoop dancer, spins 25 colored hoops in a blur of dance and high intensity movement that is mind-boggling.
Aaron White and Burning Sky perform from 12 - 3:30 p.m., in the Patio de las Campanas. Singer, songwriter, master of the Native American flute and acoustical guitarist, White’s finger picking style has been captivating audiences around the country.
Major Swing will perform in Patio de las Campanas on Friday, June 19, from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m., offering a diversity of styles including Gypsy Jazz, Blues, Bolero and Bossa Nova. Major Swing pays tribute to the music of Django Rheinhardt and also mixes other unique selections that give the group a more varied and contemporary sound.
