Tlaquepaque Presents Cool Jazz, Great Art and Native American Music and Dance in Sedona Arizona

Sedona, AZ: Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village celebrates the month of June with gallery openings, cool swing and jazz performances, fabulous Native American music and dance, kicking off Friday, June 5, during First Friday at the Galleries beginning at 5 p.m. All stores in Tlaquepaque will stay open until 7 p.m. and participating galleries which feature engaging artist presentations with wine receptions and hors d'oeuvres will stay open until 8 p.m.

A line-up for selected gallery openings during the month of June follows:

At the Andrea Smith Gallery discover exquisite treasures from the Nile. Andrea Smith recently returned from an Egyptian river cruise stopping in villages, cities, and temples to select treasures for her gallery. New collections include jewelry from Bedouins, sterling silver engraved rings with different Egyptian motifs, sculptures from the bazaars, unusual Egyptian scarves, and Nubian jewelry in sterling silver, lapis, and onyx. El Prado by the Creek presents the “Outdoor Living” show, featuring the gallery’s signature wind and kinetic sculptures, beautiful stone fountains, and comfy (really) rock furniture. The theme is “art for your outdoor spaces” and runs from June 1 – 7, with free shipping or delivery within the continental U.S. The gallery will pay the sales tax for outdoor art purchased during the show. Gifted Hands Gallery features Precocious Petroglyphs by husband and wife artist team, Lyn and Ken Mikell from June 5-15,  showcasing Raku ceramic vessels embellished with indigenous petroglyphs (rock art). An artist reception will take place Friday, June 5, from 5 - 7 p.m.

Enjoy spectacular, hand-painted gourds by Sedona artist Robert Brunner. Deriving his designs from sacred geometry, each gourd design is created free hand, painstakingly painted and sealed. Gourd-geous will be held June 15- 30. Call 928-282-4822 or more information.
