Local Businesses Host Annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival in Sedona Arizona

Logo For St. Patrick's Day Celebration In Sedona Arizona

Sedona, AZ: Gear up for the St. Patty’s Day festivities and community celebration as the day of the 39th Annual Sedona St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival approaches. The Shamrocks in the Red Rocks Road Race held on Jordan Road, begins at 8 a.m., on Saturday, March 14. The Parade, sponsored by Barking Frog and Cowboy Club Restaurants and many community businesses, starts at 10:30 a.m., and also makes its way along Jordan Road.

This year marks the nineteenth time Sedona’s Red Rockin’ Grannies
are participating in the Parade. The locally favorite dance troupe will be strutting their stuff to "A Great Day for The Irish" by Judy Garland. The Grannies have performed country western dance routines and marches to St. Louis Blues by Glenn Miller but this year they are going strictly Irish.

The Parade Festival begins immediately following the Parade and is conveniently located directly adjacent to the grandstands near the end of the Parade Route. The entertainment and children’s activities are all free, thanks to A Day in the West and other business sponsors and supporters.

The Festival will open with a traditional ceremonial song on bagpipes. The activities are lining up; so far, you can:

  • Dance to live entertainment by Dublin Soul
  • Listen to talented youth in Sedona Charter School Strings Group
  • Enjoy free family activities:
  • Puff the Dragon Bouncy Castle
  • Face Painting by Christy
  • Balloon Animals by Gary
  • Exotic Animals from Out of Africa
  • Knighting by Celtic Warrior Kailen
  • Visit with an Irish Maiden & Fairies
  • Lucky Leprechaun Fishing Hole by First Student, Inc.
  • Partake from the food court featuring Barking Frog & Cowboy Club Restaurants
  • Quench your thirst in the Beer Garden, thanks to Oak Creek Brewing Company
Sedona Main Street Program and Sedona’s “Green Team” are proud to coordinate this Festival and to partner with Northern Arizona University Parks & Recreation Management Program to present the Parade. NAU students present the Road Race as an independent project.
