Sedona Arizona Visitors Celebrate
Chocolate and Romance On the Verde Canyon Railroad

Two People Enjoy The Chocolate Lovers' Festival Near Sedona Arizona

Sedona, AZ:  Visitors enjoy the love of chocolate and romance of the rails during the Chocolate Lovers’ Festival featured by the Verde Canyon Railroad February 11 through 16. The Chocolate Lovers’ Festival offers lovers, friends, and families the perfect opportunity to come together to see amazing wildlife and waterfowl while tantalizing their taste buds with sweet treats. Since sharing chocolate is an intimate form of communication, an enhancement to that communication is the natural rhythm of the rails on Arizona’s longest-running nature show.

What better place to snuggle with a sweetie than in a love seat in a deluxe, first-class car, complete with appetizers, specialty coffees, magnificent views and sumptuous chocolates.  There is sure to be a sweet, romantic ambience aboard the Verde Canyon Railroad.

“Early spring is a beautiful time to ride because of the wildlife, as well,” says Teresa Propeck, marketing director.  “The bald and golden eagle populations are at their peak and the clear waters of the Verde River are a perfect respite for a variety of migrating birds and waterfowl. About eighty percent of all North American migratory species can be found among the towering red rock pinnacles during February and March.”

Guests are encouraged to capitalize on this breathtaking season and a romantic railroad getaway by staying at one of the nearby hotels, bed & breakfasts, or inns in the Verde Valley.  Two hours north of Phoenix, the Verde Canyon Railroad is a complete escape from the pressures of city living.  Located at 300 N. Broadway in Clarkdale and ideally situated below the cold of the mountains and above the heat of the low desert, the train depot is only 25 minutes from Sedona.
