Nightlife Sedona Features Local Talent in Up The Trail in Sedona Arizona

The Prickly Ticklers Appearing At The Market Place Cafe In Sedona Arizona

Sedona, AZ: Hold on little doggies!  Whoa!  The Prickly Ticklers are making an appearance at The Market Place Café in the Village of Oak Creek on Sunday, September 14.  Doesn’t that just make your spurs jingle jangle?  Course it does, partner.  The hilarious cowboy musical dinner theater is also back on Thursdays and Fridays at Relics Restaurant and Nightclub in Sedona.

Nightlife Sedona debuted several variety of shows during the spring and summer.  The favorite and steady ready is the original cowboy musical comedy, Up The Trail, back for the fall season and trailin’ its herd down to the Village of Oak Creek for the cowpokes who like to stay close to the homestead.

Up The Trail is a vaudevillian styled original production written by Hollywood screenwriter Dev Ross known for her award winning animated series “The Land Before Time.”  You don’t want to miss Ross’ performance in this show.  And, of course, Shondra Jepperson, a local celebrity, singer, composer and veteran of the stage stars as the Trail Boss, strumming her guitar and guiding those cattle drovers through natural and not so natural circumstances.

The cast also features
film, television and theater director and producer John Reynolds as Cookie, the chef du jour for hungry cowboys.  Martha Edwards, choreographer, plays double duty in two roles as a wanna be cattle drover as well Ms. Hassy, the dance hall gal.  Mike Gilbert on guitar and vocals is the sweet, slow as sap Jess who buddies up with Brad Roberts, radio personality from Yavapai Broadcasting, who narrates and gyrates as Windy.  This show is a classic and not to be missed!

The Market Place Café (MPC) is one of the most popular eateries in the Village and part of the Sedona Outlet Mall since 1997.  Owners Jeff and Michele Moore are no strangers to great entertainment.  They met in the film business and Jeff continues to work in the Prop Department on many productions, residing primarily in Los Angeles.  Michele runs the restaurant and has brought much of her movie background to the décor and ambiance of MPC with its festive yet chic Hollywood theme.
