Tlaquepaque Presents First Friday at the Galleries in Sedona Arizona

Tlaquepaque Sedona Arizona

Sedona, AZ: The first Friday of every month Sedona's finest galleries, including Mountain Trails Gallery, El Prado Gallery, Eclectic Image Gallery, Andrea Smith Gallery and Kuivato Glass Gallery, host a monthly event featuring special visiting artists and special events. Plan to visit the Tlaquepaque Arts & Craft Village during the 1st Friday event. The galleries are open until 8 p.m., and all stores in Tlaquepaque stay open until 7 p.m.

Originally conceived as an artist community, Tlaquepaque is a perfect setting to witness gifted artisans absorbed in their work. It's not uncommon to venture upon a well-known sculptor working on his or her latest piece right in one of the Tlaquepaque galleries. With over 40 specialty shops and exclusive art galleries, shopping becomes a joyful revelation of fabulous art treasures and distinctive gifts around every corner. Tlaquepaque is filled with spectacular one-of-a kind art expressions in every medium from Western and eclectic bronze sculpture, functional and traditional ceramics, breathtaking blown glass creations, contemporary and Southwestern fine art paintings, weavings, decorative arts, architectural décor pieces and stunning large format photography. Fine contemporary jewelry, designer casual wear in silks, and leathers and unusual gift items all await the Tlaquepaque visitor.

1st Friday Gallery Highlights, April 4:

El Prado Gallery - Doggone Good Times

Sculptor Marty Goldstein
doesn't mind a cold nose or a wagging tail. In fact, he claims his studio has gone to the dogs. And so has El Prado Gallery during the "Doggone Good Times" show from April 4 - 18. Goldstein's "Harvey Dogs" are whimsical sculptures of ‘man's best friend' that delight viewers and elicit belly laughs from gallery guests. Come meet the man who has a growing list of collectors that you will want to join.

Join El Prado by the Creek for an opening reception to celebrate sculptor Marty Goldstein and the "Harvey Dogs" on April 4 from 5 – 8 p.m. Goldstein will also be appearing in the gallery Saturday, April 5, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Contact El Prado Gallery at (928) 282-7390 for more information.
