Sedona, AZ: Trade Winds Advertising Inc., developer and owner of Gateway To Sedona, a destination marketing company in Sedona, Arizona, announces an agreement with Comello Media Services to represent Gateway To Sedona throughout Northern Arizona, including the Sedona/Verde Valley area.
Effective February 2008, Comello Media Services will manage the sales and marketing of Gateway To Sedona, including the website,
GatewayToSedona.com, and the printed companion guide, the
Gateway To Sedona Visitor & Web Guide.
According to Chuck and Victoria Oldham, principals of Trade Winds Advertising, the agreement is part of a long-term strategy to build “Gateways” in other tourist-oriented areas of the United States, such as Gateway to the Golden Isles, focusing on the islands along coastal Georgia, between Jacksonville and Savannah. “Sedona’s success indicates that our web-and-print destination marketing products will be especially valued in other popular tourist areas,” comments Victoria Oldham.
Al Comello of Comello Media Services will carry the flag for Gateway To Sedona to all Northern Arizona tourist-oriented businesses as well as Sedona enterprises. “I welcome the opportunity to broadcast the good news about this powerful advertising venue,” Comello exclaimed. “This is the 2008 opportunity I was looking for,” he said.
Chuck and Victoria Oldham started Gateway To Sedona in 2002 with the goal of building the area’s most sought-after magazine-format website for Sedona’s visitors. Evidence of their success is demonstrated by the extent of “page one” search engine positions held by GatewayToSedona.com. Alexa.com, a service that compares and measures the popularity of websites across the Internet, positions GatewayToSedona.com as the area’s website with the greatest reach over the past four years.
One of the distinctive benefits offered to Gateway’s Deluxe clients is the ability to publish and syndicate articles and press releases about their business, which in turn maximizes distribution of the story around the globe via pickup by major news sources such as Google, Yahoo, and CNN. “Our publicity service substantially increases the reach of local businesses to the outside world and sends targeted customers to their websites,” comments Chuck Oldham. “Just as the Red Rock News and the Arizona Republic broadcast their news online, the "Gateway" is able to do the same with stories and news that benefit tourists and others interested in Sedona,” he added.
