Sedona AZ: Sedona Adventure Outfitters & Guides is offering a new tour that's sure to please travelers and locals looking to experience some adventure as well as some culture. This original tour is called the Water to Wine Tour, which is a one hour kayaking trip down the Verde River to Alcantara Vineyards. 

The Water to Wine tour begins on the federally designated “Wild and Scenic” Verde River. Kayaking the Verde River is fun and easy; it offers lots of beautiful scenery and plenty of small drops and chutes making your kayaking experience fun and exciting. No kayaking experience? No problem! Our inflatable kayaks are comfortable and safe making this trip ideal for beginners. The Verde River is surrounded by large cottonwood trees and an abundance of wildlife such as beavers, otters and the occasional jumping fish. This time of year you can also see Golden and Bald Eagles nesting along the Verde River's banks. The River also has plenty of slow current pools that give you a chance to take some pictures of the scenery, so bring your camera!



The kayaking trip on the Verde River lasts approximately one hour and ends at the Tuscan Style winery of Alcantara Vineyards. Established in 2005, it is the first vineyard along the River's banks. Sedona Adventure Outfitters And Guides will provide you with a $20.00 gift certificate to spend at Alcantara as you please. You can choose wine tasting, shop at the gift shop or use your certificate towards a bottle of wine. For the wine tasting, Alcantara's knowledgeable and friendly sommeliers will guide you from whites to reds, carefully pointing out the difference in flavors. After the wine tasting, the sommeliers will wrap your wine glass to take home as a souvenir.
