Through  February 17th: When she was a child, fascinating imagery literally came up out of the ground around Sally Hall's feet in the form of tantalizing remnants of "the Ancients" who had known the Grand Canyon before her. The opening reception for the exhibit is on  Tuesday, December 1, from 7 - 9 p.m., at the Kolb Studio.

Through January 10th: It was more than 20 years ago that a group of Western craftsmen—a painter/ sculptor, a photographer, a knife maker, and a saddle maker—discussed the idea of having Western fine art and cowboy gear in one show. It had never been done before, and the rest is Trappings history.

Through January 15th: The Sedona Heritage Museum announces its newest temporary exhibit "Aprons, Aprons, Aprons." Aprons tell a story about women's lives and roles since they were almost exclusively handmade and worn by women in their homes every day. This display features aprons from about 1900 to the 1960s and ranges from fancy tea aprons to very utilitarian 'allover' aprons.

Apart from the undeniable splendor of the famous red rocks, great dining, and Sedona's magnetizing effect on artists and healers, late fall is abuzz with activity. One of the newest events now in its second year is the Festival of Trees in Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village.
