From Earth to Sky: Paintings by Sally Hall Exhibit at Kolb Studio
Through February 17th: When she was a child, fascinating imagery literally came up out of the ground around Sally Hall's feet in the form of tantalizing remnants of "the Ancients" who had known the Grand Canyon before her. The opening reception for the exhibit is on Tuesday, December 1, from 7 - 9 p.m., at the Kolb Studio. |
Trappings of the American West at MNA
Through January 10th: It was more than 20 years ago that a group of Western craftsmen—a painter/ sculptor, a photographer, a knife maker, and a saddle maker—discussed the idea of having Western fine art and cowboy gear in one show. It had never been done before, and the rest is Trappings history. |
Sedona Heritage Museum Features Aprons, Aprons, Aprons
Through January 15th: The Sedona Heritage Museum announces its newest temporary exhibit "Aprons, Aprons, Aprons." Aprons tell a story about women's lives and roles since they were almost exclusively handmade and worn by women in their homes every day. This display features aprons from about 1900 to the 1960s and ranges from fancy tea aprons to very utilitarian 'allover' aprons. |
Turquoise Tortoise Gallery Features Chuck Reddick and Stan Natchez
The Turquoise Tortoise Gallery in Sedona features Chuck "Winter Heart" Reddick and Stan Natchez for a joint exhibition called"Complex Harmony" during November. Through November 30th: Gallery 527 in Jerome presents Brandi Lee Cooper's new ceramic work, in the show CULTIVATE. Organic wood fired Soul Discs, piercing heart shrines, and botanical imagery filled sculptures express the artist's connection and respect for the earth and her desert home. |
Hilton Fine Arts Exhibit and Sale
November 27th - 28th: INSPIRED '09, the theme of the first annual Hilton Fine Arts Exhibit and Sale, will take place over Thanksgiving weekend. This is a very special event happening at the Hilton Sedona Resort and Spa in the Grand Ballroom. The entire Sedona and Verde Valley communities and visitors from all around Arizona, other states ,or overseas guests taking a holiday are invited to come and enjoy this "All Sedona Arts Weekend" event and its festivities. There is no entrance fee for admission to the show. |

Festival of Trees at Tlaquepaque
November 27th - December 6th: Thanksgiving in Sedona. It has a magical ring to it, just like the place. One of the newest events now in its second year is the Festival of Trees in Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village. |
