Voices of the Verde with Michael Peach
Voices of the Verde with Michael Peach
The Sedona Heritage Museum presents Michael Peach in a performance of “Voices of the Verde” at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 7 at the Sedona Heritage Museum.

Drawing on extensive backgrounds in philosophy, theater, and interpretation of cultural and natural resources,
Peach uses the intimate power of story and poetry to give voice to our rich history.  In his 50 minute presentation, he weaves humor, song, cowboy poetry, and historical narrative into an informative and entertaining experience.  He brings to life General George Crook, Bear Howard, Jim and Margaret Thompson, and other pioneers and characters of the area’s past.

Mike is an award-winning actor, director, and playwright, and can currently be seen in the groundbreaking webseries, Purgatory, Arizona (www.purgatoryaz.com).  He is also a Certified Interpretive Trainer for the National Association for Interpretation.

“It is my passionate belief that our best hope for the future lies in understanding our connections to nature, history, and each other.  It is my joy and my great privilege to share the inspiring stories of these courageous, self-reliant people with visitors to the Museum”, Peach says about his creation and presentation of this original show.

Learn about the greater Sedona area’s unique history and be entertained at the same time.  Tickets are $6, with children under 12 free.  Museum admission is separate.

The Museum’s current special exhibit is on the “Aprons, Aprons, Aprons” running from now through mid-January.

The Sedona Historical Society operates the Sedona Heritage Museum on the Jordan Farmstead at 735 Jordan Road in Jordan Park.  The Museum is open daily at 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.  The Society seeks to research, preserve and teach the history of the greater Sedona area.
