Caribbean Extravaganza at the Hilton Sedona Resort and Spa

The next Magical Journey will be held poolside at the Hilton Sedona Resort and Spa. Set on an outdoor patio on a beautiful evening in Sedona, this magical journey will feature a lively interactive dinner buffet that will visually transport you to the Caribbean Islands. There will be live music, dancing and fun activities and prizes from 6 to 9 p.m. This is part of the Magical Journey Series created by the Sedona Village Creative Initiative Community. About The Caribbean Buffet: Enjoy flavors from around the Caribbean with our Island hopping Dinner Buffet. Start with the cool flavors of our Market Fresh Fruits and Crisp Greens and then sail over to the Cuban Style Whole Roasted Pig served on a Banana leaf with Black Beans and Steamed Rice. After that, spend the evening cruising through Puerto Rican Seafood Stews with Shrimp, Cherry Clams, Blue Mussels and Tender Sea Scallops, Roasted Jamaican Jerk Chicken topped with Fresh Lime, and Grilled Pineapple and Tender Fried Plantains. Freshly made Island Tropical drinks will also be served. The price is $54.95 per person, including tax. Gratuity is extra. Additional beverages will be available for purchase. Several recent Magical Journey restaurant events have sold out and had waiting lists, so make your reservations early! About Hilton Sedona Resort and Spa: A part of Hilton Worldwide Resorts™, the 219-room property is located 90 minutes north of Phoenix and features two-room suites with separate living rooms and private patios or balconies, with breathtaking views of Sedona’s majestic red rocks or the Sedona Golf Resort. Guest room amenities include fireplace, flat screen televisions, minibar, high-speed Internet access, microwave oven, coffeemaker, and iron/ironing board. This Magical Journey program is part of a series of events by “The Sedona Village Creative Initiative” – a volunteer group of Residents Supporting Local Businesses. The group is committed to creating a strong alliance between residents and the business community by designing and fostering events that will enhance the community’s economic, social and cultural well-being. The intent is to include all of the restaurants, retail shops, artists, and residents as the initiative grows; and will continue to build upon these efforts and plan events for 2009. The broader mission of the group is to support the efforts of the Big Park Council as it: (1) creates a distinct identity for the Sedona Village area; (2) builds linkages and initiates activities that will support the local business community while enriching the quality of life for residents and visitors; (3) develops innovative ways to incorporate more cultural elements; (4) facilitates opportunities for greater social interaction among residents; and (5) finds creative ways to promote the programs and events more effectively within the community and surrounding areas. Interested community members will find additional information, volunteer, and, express your own creativity by generating projects and initiatives of your own interests.
