First Saturday Jerome Art Walk at Gallery 527 on June 6 promises a great opening from 5 to 8 p.m., at 527 Main Street in Jerome. Musical guest William Hoshal sets the stage for another great party.
Kelley E Foy transcends the functionality of furniture and truly creates art with each unique design. To describe her work as “Furniture Design for The Collector” is a fitting phrase. Foy is a self-taught furniture designer and maker who now does everything from the rendering to the final finish. She works from her home on the hillside of Jerome and her 2,200 square foot studio on historic Main Street in Old Town Cottonwood. Her solo work and collaborations are found in showrooms and personal residences throughout the Southwest. Foy collaborates with architects, designers and contractors -- compassing modern and old world. She has participated on full-scale projects as varied as personal resorts to restaurants. Individual collectors frequently commission her work one piece at a time.
By immersion, Foy becomes fluent in the dialect of the designated project, spanning anywhere from Spanish Colonial to Craftsman. She is dedicated to the details. Throughout the process, she lends her interpretation to each piece, often a modern relativity. Foy’s work is sought for her unique finishing techniques and her signature designs. Gallery 527 is pleased to showcase one of Jerome’s most talented artists. The exhibit will continue through July 3rd.
