Reds Restaurant and D'Argenzio Winemaker Dinner
Reds Restaurant and D'Argenzio Winemaker Dinner
Please save the date and join us for “Dinner with the Winemaker” at Reds Restaurant on Monday, May 18, at 6 p.m.  Executive Chef Ron Moler will be preparing a four-course dinner paired with the fine wines from D’Argenzio Winery.

The highlight of the evening will be dining with Winemaker Raymond D’Argenzio and his son Anthony, who will be presenting the featured wines for this special event. D’Argenzio wines have received stellar reviews from Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Connoisseurs Guide and Pinot Report.

The evening will begin  with a welcome reception featuring tasty passed hor d’oeuvres of Lobster Kiwi Ceviche Shooters, Caramelized Pear Crostinis and Seared Scallop on Endive Leaves, pared with a 2007 Fox Hill Vineyard Tacai Fruilano. Winemaker Raymond D’Argenzio will present and expound on each wine selection and its attributes. The first course will feature Wild Mushroom Bisque with Truffle Crème, pared with a 2005 Bacigalupi Vineyard Pinot Noir. The second course, a delectable Muscovy Duck Confit Salad on Frissee and Seared Duck Breast on Drunken Cherry Risotto, will pare with a 2005 Bacigalupi Vineyard Petit Syrah. The main course, delicious Braised Angus Short Ribs on Sweet Potato Puree with Florida Pink Sweet Shrimp, will pare with a 2005 Thorn Road Ranch Pinot Noir. The dessert course, a scrumptious Chocalote Crème Brulee with Blackberry Compote, will pare with a 2004 Triolo Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon.

D’Argenzio Winery is a family winery in the truest Italian sense. There are three generations of the D’Argenzio family working together to create the finest handcrafted wines. The grapes are grown in the world-class appellations of Sonoma County and aged from 18-24 months in new French oak and American oak barrels. D’Argenzio wines have received stellar reviews from Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast, Connoisseurs Guide and Pinon Report.

A native of Tucson, Executive Chef Ron Moler has been at the helm of Reds Restaurant and Bar at Sedona Rouge Hotel and Spa since 2007. Through his culinary specialties and outgoing personality, he and his staff have created an enthusiastic and loyal clientele at Reds.
