Ceramic Artist Steve Ritson Featured at Gallery 527 in Jerome

Gallery 527 features Ceramic Artist Steve Ritson. His inspiration is found in the rocks, canyons and cliff faces of Sedona. Caption: “Twist” by Steve Ritson is a Raku fired lidded vessel. This bold body of work will be shown at First Saturday Jerome Art Walk at Gallery 527 on April 4. The work shown at the gallery is Raku fired, a technique that allows for a good deal of chance. It is a fast moving and dynamic process where pots are pulled directly from the fire and immersed in a sealed container of combustible material that imparts the black carbon directly to the raw clay.” Musical guest is Ty Eaton, performing her original songs. First Saturday Jerome Art Walk is a monthly party in this charming mountain town near Sedona. Expect an evening of great food, fabulous entertainment and lively conversation at Gallery 527.
