Evening Sky Tours Features Saturn, Venus and Comet Lulin
Evening Sky Tours Features Saturn, Venus and Comet Lulin
The Sedona area has some of the best night sky viewing conditions in the United States resulting in many clear dark nights producing outstanding viewing conditions. Evening Sky Tours, specializing in entertaining and informative astronomical tours, will be featuring the planets Venus and Saturn during the month of March.

Additionally, the very good views of Comet Lulin will continue through the middle of the month.  The Comet can be seen right now just above Saturn in the eastern sky as a fuzzy object. However, through the Evening Sky Tours’ large telescopes visitors are able see the brilliant, beautiful green-blue object.

Saturn is always a favorite of tour participants.
Currently, the night tour features seeing the rings on edge of the planet very clearly and guests have even witnessed a transit of the moon Titan across the planet’s face. Viewing Saturn through Evening Sky Tour’s exceptional telescopes is one of the most beautiful images in the Universe.

Finally, as always, the tour includes a look at galaxies, star clusters, double stars and a wide variety of objects above Sedona’s red rocks. Tours are scheduled nightly beginning at 8:15 p.m., throughout March and last 1 1/2 hours. Night sky guides use laser pointers for the constellation tour while relating the stories about how they were named by the ancient people. Chairs and blankets are always provided to assure a comfortable and memorable experience.

Evening Sky Tours is now offering "ask for a discount" offer.  Just ask for a discount and customers get $5 off the regular adult rate of $60.  Children ages 7-15 are $20, and children under 7 are always free. Evening Sky Tours hosts entertaining evenings of astronomy and provide an incredible evening of stargazing guided by professional astronomers under the canopy of Sedona's brilliant night sky.
