Sedona Century Bike Tour

The 10th Annual Sedona Century Bicycle Tour will be held Saturday, May 3. This unique ride tours beautiful Sedona and Verde Valley, internationally known for breathtaking red rocks views, expansive vistas, flowing rivers, and ancient Indian ruins. This premier event will again feature three route choices: a Metric Century (+), 47-mile or 33-mile distance. Registration fees include an official T-shirt, continental breakfast, full ride support, rest stops, a lunch meal, and post-ride amenities. Absolute Bikes of Sedona will host a Friday night pre-ride barbeque on May 2, offering great food and fun, pre-registration and the “rider packet” pick-up. Proceeds from this year’s tour will benefit The Old Town Mission, a 501c3 non-profit charity providing emergency resources and free healthcare services to low income and homeless families and individuals of Sedona and the Verde Valley communities. WHERE: Sedona/ Cottonwood/ Cornville/ Lake Montezuma in the Verde Valley Region of Northern Arizona START/FINISH LINE LOCATION: The Old Town Mission, in Historic Old Town Cottonwood: 116 E. Pinal St; Cottonwood, AZ, 86326 OFFICIAL START TIME: 8 a.m. REGISTRATION FEE: $40 entry fee per rider. Increased levels of entry fees are available to riders desiring to lend greater financial support to Old Town Mission programs. INDIVIDUAL/BUSINESS SPONSORSHIPS: Bronze Sponsorship at $250; Silver at $500; Gold at $1000 and Platinum at $3000 or higher. Each level of sponsorship offers the donor a variety of philanthropic recognition through media and promotion, as well as an official Sedona Century Sponsorship plaque for display and name identification on the official event T-shirt. This year’s goal is to raise $50,000 to underwrite ongoing vital outreach programs of the Old Town Mission including a Mission Free Health Center, Day Resource Center (including bulk food, daily hot lunches, a clothing room, and showers), Mission Back-to-School Program, and seasonal holiday food programs and special events. |
