Zaki Gordon Institute Presents Annual Shorts Film Festival
The 8th annual Zaki Gordon Institute Shorts Film Festival is a great weekend of celebrations and films in Sedona, held May 23-25. The film festival opens with the Academy Award winning film, Juno, followed by a Q&A with the producer. The program this year delivers a first look at over 40 short films, narratives, documentaries and animation.
The popular student film festival is entertaining, informative, and inspiring. The Premiere Pass is $50 and includes Vegas Night at Bistro Bella Terra on Saturday evening and access to three full days of screenings. Reservations are required by May 19; call 928-649-4288.
Screenings:
Friday, May 23rd, 6 p.m. — 12 Midnight
The evening includes the screening of Academy Award winning film, Juno, with producer Daniel Dubiecki, Zaki Screenwriting Awards, live music by Yoni Gordon and the Goods, Zaki shorts through midnight.
Saturday, May 24th 10a.m. — 6 p.m.
Sunday, May 28th 10 a.m. — 5 p.m.
Followed by the Zaki Awards Ceremony
The film festival will be held at the Zaki Gordon Institute for Independent Filmmaking, Yavapai College’s Sedona Center for Arts & Technology, at 4215 Arts Village Drive in West Sedona.
Screening passes are $7 for a Day Screening Pass, $15 for an All Screening Pass and $50 for the Premiere Pass. Passes may be purchased in advance or at the door.
