Photographic Tour of the Grand Canyon with Jack Dykinga
Jack Dykinga began his photojournalism career with the Chicago Tribune. In 1971, as a member of the Chicago Sun Times staff, he won journalism¡¯s highest award, the Pulitzer Prize, for feature photography. He came to Arizona in 1976 and five years later began his freelance career making landscape photographs. His work reflects the merging of a photojournalistic, documentary approach with large-format landscape photography, focusing on environmental issues in the United States and Mexico.
In this stunning visual program, Dykinga recounts his experiences and reveals his intimate locations for photographing the majesty and wonder of the Grand Canyon. Jack has been photographing for Arizona Highways magazine for over 25 years and in the process, discovered the amazing diversity of Arizona¡¯s landscapes. His new book Images: Jack Dykinga¡¯s Grand Canyon celebrates one of his favorite locations in the world.
