Amara Resort and Spa Celebrates Mothers with Champagne and Chocolate
bShe brought you your math homework when you left it in the car, had an endless supply of Band-Aids and kisses, and spent way too much money on your prom dress. Let's face it, every day should be Mother's Day, but, until Hallmark has its way, make May 11, a day, or even weekend, she'll never forget by celebrating at Amara Resort and Spa in Uptown Sedona.
Spoil the mom in your life (pay attention, hubbies!) with one of Amara's Mother's Day packages. "It's All About Mom!" includes one night in one of the resort's scrumptious signature rooms, dinner and breakfast for two at the Gallery on Oak Creek, showcasing the cuisine of award-winning Executive Chef Ivan Flowers. Champagne and chocolate are delivered to the room and a $95 credit toward services at Amara Spa, featuring the celebrity- touted Elemis line of products. The package starts at $503.
Amara's "Mother's Day" package starts at $319 and includes one night in a signature room, a half-dozen roses, chocolate and champagne delivered to the room, and breakfast in bed.
If mom's idea of the perfect Mother's Day includes rounding up the kids and grandkids, make reservations for brunch at the Gallery on Oak Creek. Brunch will be served May 11, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., at a cost of $59 for adults and $29.95 for children under 12. Chef Flower's special brunch menu includes an assortment of salads, muffins and breads as well as his famous lobster bisque and made-to-order French omelets. Saunter up to the carving station for Colorado leg of lamb, slow roasted ham and prime rib eye, or head to the grill for Black Angus burgers, marinated chicken breast and Hebrew National hot dogs.
Make sure you save room for dessert and French Press Illy coffee and teas! Enjoy brunch in the Gallery's contemporary dining room or dine al fresco with red rock views, the soothing sounds of Oak Creek and delightful spring breezes.
The AAA Four Diamond Amara Resort and Spa, a 100-room boutique resort set against the beautiful red rocks in the heart of Uptown Sedona, is part of Cond¨¦ Nast Traveler's "Gold List of the World's Best Places to Stay" in 2008. The word "Amara" is a combination of two Spanish words meaning "love" and "land." Many of the rooms and suites boast magnificent red rock views or patios overlooking Oak Creek and are carefully designed for the needs of both leisure and business travelers. Amara is also a popular location for destination weddings. The Amara Spa features six treatment rooms, nail care area, relaxation lounge, separate male and female locker rooms with steam and showers, private yoga and the exclusive London-based Elemis line of products and treatments.
