Gala Art Show At Tequa Festival Marketplace
Gala Art Show At Tequa Festival Marketplace
Artists will gather and set up for a Gala Art Show at Tequa Festival Marketplace and an art reception at Kaufman Clark Gallery. The show is sponsored by the Gallery and will feature over 50 artists and fine craftsmen as well as music provided by Travis Terry, the well known Native flute player, who will be playing in the kiva area adjacent to the gallery.
 
The artists attending this show include many award winners such as photographers Shirley Longfellow, Steve Coombs and  the renowned Louis Cantillo,  painters James "Peaches" Lavett, Larry Beck, Richard Roberts, Virgil Nez, Larry Ashkie, and Terri Dennis, with her painted wall sculptures. Pat McAllister is a Cherokee from Eureka Springs, Arkansas, well known for her Indian paintings, who also does the Fountain Springs show.

Tony Zenan will also be showing his paintings on geode slices.
There will be sculpture with Susan Harvey's horses and Rudy Cavalier who sculpts rock and glass. Both of these artists also do bronzes. A very fine selection of jewelry will be shown by Justin Morris,  Cara Terry, Tenisha Teller, Gene Sabia with copper, Henry Nez, Stan Hopf, Sandra May, Judy Lewis, Dave Umpbleby, Rosales Black and Judy Olvera.

Constantine Serbu does wood sculpted panels which are three dimensional
and Steve Roberts makes wood turned pens out of exotic materials. Lawrence Crank will be showing his pottery, and Nate Andreason will have glass fountains. Several artists use natural materials including Dodie Gadient with decorated baskets, Philonese Baisden with spirit dolls and paintings, and Sara Lawless and Barb Livdahl with spirit dolls.

Metal sculpture and furniture will be shown by Dave Sierzchula,
Mack Bauer makes fine leather jackets and purses, and Jorge Casteneda has tiled mirrors and finely framed artifacts and prints. Andy Rickey will be showing Hopi Kachinas and Diana Spano will bring a collection of antique rugs. Amy Fleming makes baskets from wool and also does some jewelry. There will be spa products available as well, with Dead Sea products by Dennis Sandmann and Eucalyptus oil by Shelly Malone. Patrick Christian will have French tablecloths and ceramics.

The show is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the music playing throughout both days at intervals. The gallery will be open the whole time with special invited artists on hand there as well, and a great time should be had by all.
