Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village Hosts Journey to Jerusalem
Travel back in time to the events over 2000 years ago that changed the world. Crowds will gather in the streets of Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village in the festival atmosphere of ancient Jerusalem – created right here in the heart of Sedona.
Potter’s Hand Productions is thrilled to present its annual production of Journey to Jerusalem on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Easter Weekend, March 21, 22, and 23. Experience the days of Jesus seen in an entirely new way.
Visitors attending the Journey will leave the twenty-first century behind and return to the days when travelers arrived in droves to the ancient city of Jerusalem. The journey begins with the news of a Rabbi who is performing healings and miracles and includes the scene of the miracle feeding of 5000 people, the woman at the well, the story of Lazarus raised from the dead by Jesus, and many other powerful vignettes.
After the Guided Journey, visitors will have reserved seating at the production, which is centered around the beautiful central fountain of Plaza de la Fuente. During the production Jesus will serve the Last Supper to the twelve Disciples. A final triumphant scene, including singers and dancers with glorious and colorful banners, ushers in His Second Coming. Groups are seated following the Guided Journey; any additional seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Journey to Jerusalem is a free community event for all ages. Free tickets for the Guided Journey and seating for the production are available each day of the event beginning at 4:00 p.m. For more information please call (928) 300-3968 or visit www.pottershandproductions.com.
