Bell Rock Plaza Arts and Crafts Show

The Bell Rock Plaza Art and Craft Show will be happening on March 1-2 and the 2008 season is getting off to a great start. This show will feature some new artists among old favorites. Nathan Andreassen and his wife Nicole are a husband and wife team who work in glass. They are brand new residents and came to Sedona from Wisconsin to fulfill a dream. Andreassen's mother was artist/crafter, so he grew up with glass art and began making glass beads as a teenager for his mother's shop. At thirty he had a visions of making a living with his art in Sedona, and a year ago the husband and wife team took their change and moved to Sedona. After camping for a month they eventually found a house with enough room for a glass fusing shop. Andreassen has been making tabletop fountains out of glass and is interested in interior decorating pieces. Nicole strings and wire wraps necklaces from his bead creations. All of their pieces have been smudged and blessed with sage, sweetgrass, cedar, and Palo Santo, a sacred wood from Peru. They are attuned to the spiritual aspect of Sedona. There will be many new and exciting things at this show, including fabulous leather jackets, bags and belts from Mack Bauer from Rolling Thunder of Seligman. The quality is just outstanding. We also have jewelry made from prehistoric fossils, great Native American jewelry and fine designer jewelry including opals. Also showing are paintings, mixed media wall art, turned wood vases, copper art, clothing, gel candles, gourmet preserves and sauces, spa products, Hopi Kachinas, wood furniture, cowhides, and much more. Surrounded by beautiful red rock scenery, Bell Rock Plaza is centrally located in the Village of Oak Creek - Gateway to Sedona. The Bell Rock Plaza Art and Craft Shows are an excellent introduction to the Sedona art scene with many of Sedona's hotels, bed and breakfasts, restaurants, and shopping close by. |
