The Sedona Public Library announces the second annual exhibition of Altered Books; books or book parts made into art by The Sedona Visual Artists Coalition and The Friends of the Sedona Library.
An opening reception will be held Saturday, March 8, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Admission is free.
The library commissioned the show to metaphorically express the changing form of libraries with the advent of the digital world of information. Art pieces will be for sale to benefit the library.
The Sedona Visual Artists' Coalition is a non profit organization that creates exhibitions, open studios, and educational meetings to build community for area artists.
The titles of some of the works include... Overbooked, Overdue Book, Diving Into a Good Book, Unannounced Gifts, and In Case of Illiteracy -Break Glass.
