Fiction At Canyon Moon Theatre
Fiction At Canyon Moon Theatre
Linda and Michael Waterman have built a life together that is based on mutual respect and trust.  When Linda discovers that she is ill, she asks to read the journals Michael has been writing since before they met.  What she uncovers surprises her and changes their life together.

“A provocative spin on the eternal love triangle.”   Variety

Stephen Dietz’s Fiction plays at Canyon Moon January 19 through February 10.  As the play unfolds layer by layer, the boundaries between past and present begin to disappear revealing the presence of Abby Drake, a beautiful, young woman whose life is inextricably tied to that of Linda and Michael.

What is truth?  What is fiction?  Join us for an evening of insightful entertainment as we discover that Linda also has a secret and that no life is an open book.

Fiction marks the return of the talented Zoë Yeoman (Linda) to Canyon Moon Theatre.  At Canyon Moon she was last seen as Haley Walker in Theresa Rebecks’ Bad Dates and as Ruth in Collected Stories.  With a background in stage, television and film, Ms. Yeoman is a favorite of Canyon Moon audiences.

Mike Levin (Michael) has previously collaborated with Ms. Guaraldi in "Prelude to a Kiss" (Peter), "Sylvia" (Tom, Leslie, Phyllis), "Charlie Cox Runs With Scissors," and, most recently, the title role in "The Importance of Being Ernest."  He has just completed writing his third play, "I'm Not Michael. "

The cast also features the Sedona debut of Laura Cooper as Abby.  A professional actress from Los Angeles, Cooper’s past roles include Babe in Crimes of the Heart and Jill in Butterflies Are Free.

Single tickets for Fiction previews (January 19 and 20) are $16.  During the run of each show, tickets are $19.  Full-time student tickets are $11. There will be no matinee on February 3, Super Bowl Sunday.  Advisory:  mature themes and language.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m.  Sunday performances are at 3 p.m.  All shows take place at the Oak Creek Factory Outlets, next to Cody’s Pet Emporium, on Hwy 179 in the Village of Oak Creek.  Canyon Moon is a professional, non-profit theatre that serves the northern Arizona community and its guests.  Call Brown Paper Tickets’ 24-hour hotline at 1-800-838-3006 for tickets.  Tickets are also available at Rycus’ Corners in the VOC and at Clothing Reflections in the Bashas’ shopping center in West Sedona or over the Internet at www.canyonmoontheatre.org

Season X is sponsored by the Marketplace Café and supported by the Arizona Commission on the Arts, the Sedona Arts and Culture Commission and the Sedona Community Foundation.
