Chamber Music Sedona presents The Calder Quartet
Chamber Music Sedona presents The Calder Quartet
Chamber Music Sedona's 25th Anniversary Season continues with The Calder Quartet with clarinetist Joaquin Valdepeñas will be performing:

Capriccio Brilliant by Felix Mendelssohn
Cadenza on the Night Plain by Terry Riley
Clarinet Quintet in B minor, Opus 115 by Johannes Brahms

The Calder Quartet joined by guest clarinetist Joaquin Valdepeñas, including two free community concerts, salon dinner concert, and three in-school performances.

Inspired by the innovative American visual artist Alexander Calder, the Calder Quartet - violinists Benjamin Jacobson and Andrew Bulbrook, violist Jonathan Moerschel and cellist Eric Byers - continues to expand the boundaries of chamber music by creating insightful pairings of the traditional and the contemporary. Their juxtaposition of old and new serves to foster a broad understanding of chamber music.

Praised for its "splendor and substance" (Alan Rich, LA Weekly), the Calder Quartet enters the 2007-08 season "fully prepared for the world stage" (Mark Swed, Los Angeles Times).
