Pilgrimage to Bethlehem At Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village
Pilgrimage to Bethlehem At Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village
The quaint brick pathways of Tlaquepaque are transformed into the streets of an ancient tiny village, as Pilgrimage to Bethlehem comes to life.  The whole family will be mesmerized as imposing Roman soldiers march brazenly through the town.  Take comfort in the thought of the charming bands of travelers who greet you with a welcoming smile and a handful of shekels....

It is the little town of Bethlehem 2000 years ago.  Villagers will be out in droves, to be counted for the census.  The vendors in the ancient market will show off their finest wares.   Stop a the Tanner for quality hand tooled leather and examine the exotic pelts and skins.  Visit the Flower Vendor and pici out a beauty for your or daughter...

It’s the 4th annual Pilgrimage to Bethlehem on the streets of Tlaquepaque Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from December 14 - 16th. As the sun sets, a beautiful Christmas Choir will take to the streets with an outstanding medley of favorit carols. The ancient Bethlehem Market opens from 2:30 p.m. -4:30 p.m., and features a Roman Soldier on horseback, dancers, angels, shepherds, street vendors, and strolling musicians. This is followed at 5:00 p.m., by the Christmas Concert and Living Nativity featuring a live choir and Mary arriving in Bethlehem on a donkey accompanied by Joseph. Events are free. About Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village:

Tlaquepaque is the most distinctive shopping experience to be found in the Southwest. Authentically fashioned after a traditional Mexican village, Tlaquepaque, meaning the "best of everything," has been a Sedona landmark since the 1970's. Its vine covered stucco walls, cobble-stoned walkways and magnificent arched entryways give you the feeling that Tlaquepaque has been here for centuries. Tasteful galleries and unique shops live in harmony with its lush natural environment where giant sycamore trees stand in testimony to the care taken in preserving the timeless beauty of the Tlaquepaque grounds. It would be hard to find more beautiful surroundings anywhere to create a shopping experience like no other. For more information visit www.tlaq.com.
